more about Arlyn

Arlyn Rozanski, LMFT

(she/her/hers)

From personal experience, I know how much these services are needed.

My family, like so many families, could have really benefitted from working with a marriage and family therapist during life’s challenges. Often a circumstance that primarily impacted one of us also affected the rest of us in one way or another. It would have been helpful to find support together.

When I learned about systemic therapy while studying psychology during undergrad, I found the approach to be a natural fit with my own perspectives and experiences.

Later, I earned my Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy through Northwestern University and worked in community mental health and private practice settings before opening Definition. I created Definition to be a space for defining a new way forward, together

Want to know something funny? I almost gave up on my therapy career to become a flight attendant! I’m glad I stayed the path because there’s so much work to be done to improve options for us all.

More about Jillian

Jillian Mizraji, LMFT

(she/her/hers)

Hi, I’m Jillian! A Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who works with individuals and relationships of those in their teen years or older. I am a strength-based therapist with an integrative approach to therapy who is a firm believer that therapy is an aid to your own continued development and process. Some focuses I enjoy working with are anxiety, perfectionism, identity, depression, and the “I don't know what's happening” areas of life.

I appreciate transparency, collaboration, willingness, balance, and curiosity within the therapeutic space. And therapy with me is warm, direct, and focused.

I value a good fit as we build our therapeutic relationship to ensure that you are able to get the most out of our time together. I laugh at myself and encourage you to show up as you are. I also encourage and guide you to bring the tools we discuss into the outside world.

I love my job for many reasons, one being that I get to empower others to trust themselves and their choices. I am both clients’ number one cheerleader and someone that pushes them to their limits. Together, we work toward making intentional changes that continue to help you grow. I look forward to connecting and being a part of your journey!

More About Whitney

Whitney DeMeuse, MSMFT

(she/her/hers)

Hi, I’m Whitney! A Marriage & Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, and family systems, including children and adolescents. I believe in the importance of finding a therapist who is a good fit, and consulting our core values can assist with that. Three of my top core values as a therapist are compassion, clear communication, and cultural humility.

  • Compassion—I believe compassion is a step above empathy. I sit with and feel my clients’ emotions alongside them; however, I also take action to demonstrate that I am there to support them and help them.

  • Clear Communication—I encourage collaboration and open feedback from my clients throughout the course of treatment. I strive to ensure my clients know what to expect and that we are on the same page. Furthermore, I consider myself to be direct; I never wish to waste my clients' time, and I am there to help them achieve their goals.
  • Cultural Humility—I take a client-centered approach and hold the belief that the client is the expert on their own life. I work with an open mind, take a non-judgmental stance, refrain from making assumptions, challenge any implicit biases that may arise, and always approach my clients with curiosity.

I practice Integrative Systemic Therapy, which allows me to utilize various therapeutic models and theories to tailor treatment to best fit each client’s unique needs and work with a wide range of presenting problems. Some specific areas of interest I especially enjoy working with include relational conflict, emotion dysregulation, grief/loss, anxiety, and past trauma. I also have a special passion for working with children and families. I hope to meet you soon!
